Death (different perspective)

How does it feel knowing that everything, in the inevitable end, doesn't even matter?

Well see, I was talking to my dad and he gave me an idea.

He was telling me about the Hindu belief of reincarnation.

He told me something very interesting.

He said "when you die, the soul leaves your body. The actions taken in that lifetime, affect what happens to the 'shell' (body) of the soul in the next life."

Very interesting.

Then he was telling me something about a chariot, charioteer, ten horses, and the soul.

He said that five of the horses are the "active senses" and the other five are the "cognaitive senses."

He also said that the Charioteer is the brain of the human (the chariot.)

Then the soul just sits in the chariot and observes things.

Although, when the mind wants to do one thing, the soul influenses it to do something else.

Ex: You want to slap someone really badly, but something is holding you back.

My point:

whatever actions the body takes during life, the soul "records" it and the retribution is given in the next one.

My dad was also saying things about something called "Karma" and "Dharma" (you don't pronounce the A)

Yes.

I just thought it was interesting, and it has given me a few new things to brood about.

Soon I shall twist what he has told me into my own philosophy.

I just showed the blog I typed to my dad and he yelled at me for not saying it properly.

:'(

The part he said was wrong was the thing about the soul influencing the Charioteer. The soul only observes.

also, the sentence "He also said the Charioteer is the brain of the human (chariot)" is confusing.

I was just trying to say the chariot represents the human body.
